Secrets of the Shire Ditch

Discover the history of the Shire Ditch and other archaeological wonders on the Hills.  From the Bronze Age to Red Earls, hear Dr Keith Ray, Hon. Secretary of the Herefordshire Victoria County History Trust, tell the stories of these nationally important monuments.

What to bring: Please come prepared for the outdoors – wear appropriate weatherproof clothing, sturdy footwear, sun block and sun hat. Please bring water with you for the longer walks.

Fee: All our events are free of charge but all charitable donations are gratefully received and go towards conserving the Hills and Commons.

Accessibility: Difficulty - medium. 2 mile walk with some narrow paths and one or two steep ascents and descents.  Please call the office if you would like further information on the accessibility of events.
